Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Two years of professional experience supporting deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or disabled customers.
• Experience in advocacy, marketing, and/or communications preferred.
• Ability to communicate in ASL at varying proficiency levels.
• Driver’s license with a clean driving record; travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clientele with disabilities.
• Plan and evaluate message strategies for California’s Deaf and Disabled Telecommunications Program goals.
• Develop online materials such as website content, video content, social media posts, and blogs.
• Aid recipients with equipment orders, setup, and training on features; troubleshoot as needed.
• Travel regionally to visit customers and community partners as required.
• Document services provided, referrals, and follow-up per state requirements.
