Job summary

CSD's Field Operations Specialist in Salinas, CA, works with customers needing specialized telephone equipment and services, educating the community and performing in-home assessments. You will collaborate with Customer Advisors to deliver statewide DDTP programs, provide equipment installation and training, and collect feedback through focus groups and surveys.

Candidates should have strong communication, ASL skills, and the ability to navigate multiple accessibility needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Two years serving deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or disabled customers.
• Ability to communicate in ASL at varying proficiency levels.
• Spanish language ability is highly desirable.
• Background check and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clientele with various disabilities.
• Educate community about programs and services and assess in-home equipment needs.
• Assist with site visits in person or at community spaces.
• Develop online materials such as website/video content and social posts.
• Maintain accurate documentation per state requirements and follow up as needed.
• Engage with community groups and focus groups to evaluate resources and barriers.
