Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Field Operations Technician to perform MACD on telecom equipment and install, repair, and test internet services. You will work with Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena gear while ensuring top-tier customer service and safety standards in the field.

The role requires 5+ years in telecom or related work, a technical college degree preferred, strong MS Office skills, and proven ability to work independently in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• A positive, "can-do" attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and sincerity
• Degree or diploma from a technical college would be preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highquality, customerfocused service experience to every client
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective deescalation techniques
• Perform onsite installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rackmounted networking equipment
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
• Follow Ledcor's safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times
