Job summary

Uniti is seeking a Network Technician to support field operations nationwide from Monroe, LA. You will install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and transport networks, and perform post-install tests to ensure call processing functionality.

This role requires OTDR testing, safety training, and the ability to work inside and outside, with on-call rotations. Candidates should have an associate degree or equivalent telephony experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 4+ years telephony experience required.
• Ability to understand CLR/DLR and engineering job packs.
• OTDR testing and result interpretation required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Color discrimination and ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine installation, maintenance, and repair of network systems.
• Complete post-install tests for call processing and AMA testing.
• Coordinate central office/network equipment, fiber cross-connects and wiring.
• Perform OTDR tests and interpret results.
• Provide stand-by and on-call coverage.
• Report to the Network Infrastructure Local Manager.
