Job summary

PlanIT Group is seeking a field service technician to manage the day-to-day service operations for installations, deliveries, and deployments of technical resources. You will ensure a strong customer-service posture, predict and resolve issues, and document outcomes.

The role requires five years of data communications experience, cabling and network gear installation, and the ability to lift equipment. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required, along with strong communication

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in data communications.
• Must have basic knowledge of Cisco Phones, switches and routers.
• Must have a basic knowledge of local and wide area networking.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day service operations for installations, deliveries and deployments of technical resources.
• Provide hardware break-fix services for network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot cabling and network performance issues to meet customer SLAs.
• Coordinate with team to document issues, actions and outcomes.
• Conduct site surveys and install/configure network gear in data centers or telecom rooms.
