Job summary

Red River in the United States seeks a Field Installation Engineer responsible for planning, installation, configuration and validation of network and infrastructure solutions across customer and internal environments.

You will conduct site surveys, install and test equipment, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure successful deployments, including international installation oversight as required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification or equivalent experience in IT, Networking, Telecommunications, Electronics, or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience installing, deploying, troubleshooting, or supporting network and infrastructure technologies including routing, switching, wireless, IP addressing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret network diagrams, floor plans, technical specifications, and docs; analyze problems; identify root causes; and propose solutions.
• Willingness to travel as required to customer locations and sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, calibrate, upgrade, and validate network and infrastructure equipment across customer and internal environments.
• Analyze requirements and develop installation plans and procedures from technical blueprints and documentation.
• Conduct site surveys to determine tools, equipment, and personnel for installation activities.
• Troubleshoot network, wireless, and infrastructure issues; determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Perform site wireless surveys and RF environment assessments to ensure compliance with specs and standards.
• Provide customers with guidance, updates, and training on equipment operation and troubleshooting techniques.
• Prepare and maintain installation reports, logs, and as-built records.
