Job summary

Numotion in New York, Latham, is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and repair complex wheelchairs and medical equipment both in the shop and on-site with customers. You will maintain stock, ensure safety, and complete precise documentation while providing education on proper use and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of mechanical experience; medical equipment experience preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools for equipment repair.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Valid state driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment in shop and in the field.
• Maintain rental and stock equipment for reliability.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform maintenance on delivery and company vehicles.
• Receive, store, and ship parts with accurate inventory records.
• Complete thorough documentation and obtain required signatures.
• Educate customers and caregivers on proper use and safety.
• Make minor fittings and adjustments for user comfort.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in training.
