Job summary

Conservice is seeking a hands-on Meter Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair water, gas, and electric submeters across multifamily properties and select retail locations. You will diagnose meter performance, manage data transmission, and keep meticulous field records.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, OSHA-10 certification at hire or within 90 days, and a commitment to safety. A company vehicle is provided, with travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with no more than two moving violation convictions in the past 24 months, and no DUI, DWI, or reckless driving violations in the past 5 years.
• REAL ID-compliant license or ID card, or another federally accepted ID for air travel.
• Pre-employment drug screen and ongoing testing as per company policy; OSHA-10 certification at hire or within 90 days if required.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, configure, calibrate, and replace water, gas, and electric submeters and communication systems at multifamily properties, new construction sites, and select retail locations.
• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot meter performance, connectivity, and data transmission; repair or replace faulty equipment.
• Keep accurate records of field work; upload work orders, photos, and notes daily; follow SOPs and safety policies.
• Receive, record, secure, and track inventory; prepare materials for scheduled installations and service work; perform weekly cycle counts.
• Maintain and use the company vehicle, perform routine maintenance, and ensure registrations and inspections are current.
• Adhere to schedule with up to 25% travel, including overnight stays; overtime may be required; reliability and punctuality are essential.
