Job summary

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is seeking an in-field Membership Sales Representative to engage small business owners and grow NFIB membership. You’ll spend ~95% of your time in the field meeting owners in your local market, delivering a concise yet compelling presentation, and driving enrollment in one visit.

Qualifications

• In-person prospecting with small business owners.
• Strong communication and closing skills.
• Hunter/closer role with a structured sales model.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with small business owners through in-person prospecting (no appointment setting)
• Deliver NFIB’s proven, 5-minute sales presentation with confidence, authenticity, and urgency
• Build fast rapport and communicate NFIB’s mission clearly and compellingly
• Address objections and close membership enrollments in one visit
• Process membership payments on the spot
