Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. (F&R) is seeking a CMT Technician to inspect contractor work at construction sites and perform soil and concrete tests under supervision. Data collected in the field is transmitted to Project Managers for review.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely reporting, with opportunities for career growth and professional certifications as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Prior construction or field testing experience preferred
• ACI Level I Concrete, State DOT, WACEL, or ICC certifications in soils, reinforced concrete, and masonry are a plus
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Must be able to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, and manuals
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 70 pounds on a regular basis

Responsibilities

• Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete
• Prepare detailed field reports with all test results and observations
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports of results
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff regarding construction issues
