Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking a CMT Technician to help ensure public safety by traveling to construction sites to inspect contractor work and perform basic field tests.

The role involves inputting inspections and test data via mobile devices for immediate review by Project Managers. The position requires the ability to work independently or in teams, with opportunities for career progression through multiple technician levels and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Prior construction or field testing experience preferred.
• ACI/SOC certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with test results and observations.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare results reports.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff regarding construction issues.
