Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. (F&R) is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician to join our field team.

Travel to construction sites to inspect workmanship and perform soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete tests under supervision. You will input data on smartphones/tablets for immediate transmission to project managers, prepare detailed field reports, and support laboratory testing and site evaluations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ACI Level I Concrete, State DOT, WACEL or ICC certifications are a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to travel to job sites and work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with test results and observations.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff on construction issues.
