Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking a CMT Technician to support public safety by inspecting contractor work at construction sites and performing standard field soil and concrete tests.

Tasks include field testing, data entry on mobile devices, and preparing comprehensive field reports for project managers. The role offers opportunities for growth across Technician levels and requires a high school diploma with preferred field testing experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior construction or field testing experience preferred.
• Certifications in soils, reinforced concrete, and masonry are a plus (ACI Level I, State DOT, WACEL, ICC).
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work independently and within teams to achieve goals.
• Must be detail oriented and able to read plans/specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with test results and observations.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff regarding construction issues.
