Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. (F&R) seeks a CMT Technician to travel to construction sites, performing field soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete tests and documenting results for project records.

Data is entered on smartphones/tablets for immediate transmission to Project Managers. You will conduct laboratory tests on soil and concrete, prepare comprehensive reports, evaluate site and subgrade conditions, and communicate findings with clients, contractors and engineering staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior construction or field testing experience preferred.
• ACI Level I Concrete, State DOT, WACEL, or ICC certifications are a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must work independently and within teams to achieve goals.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with test results and observations.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff regarding construction issues.
