Qualifications

• 3 years of field experience in construction materials testing.
• Ability to read construction plans and technical specifications.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors, and travel between job sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on construction materials including soil compaction, concrete slump, air content, and cylinder sampling.
• Conduct density testing using nuclear gauges or sand cone methods.
• Observe and document field activities per project specs and standards (ASTM, AASHTO).
• Collect samples for lab testing and deliver to the lab with proper chain-of-custody.
• Prepare clear daily field reports and submit documentation timely.
• Communicate field findings and issues with project managers and engineers.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated, maintained, and used per QC standards.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment on-site and in the lab.
• Handle vehicle maintenance and safety compliance for field operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
