Job summary

Jacobs in Saint Francisville, LA seeks a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing to manage major capital equipment materials and field transactions under supervision. You will learn material control processes, support shipment releases, MRRS, MIRs, and OS&Ds, and coordinate with project teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2–5 years of material control experience, OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred), and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, or equivalent field.
• 2-5 years of capital equipment material control experience preferred.
• 2+ years on-site experience in large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certification (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Experience in Advanced Manufacturing projects is ideal.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office tools.
• 2+ years using MM software/ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/Smart Materials).
• Interest in Construction Management or Procurement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player.
• Ability to work on-site in Saint Francisville, LA.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Review shipment release requests and approve shipment authorizations per PO terms.
• Advise stakeholders on creating shipment releases and authorization processes.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs, and OS&Ds with accurate records.
• Maintain a materials preservation activity register.
• Identify material control risks and apply remedies.
• Coordinate with project or department personnel on material control activities.
