Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing in Saint Francisville, LA. You will manage material control transactions for major capital equipment and materials under supervision.

Responsibilities include reviewing shipment releases, maintaining MRRs/MIRs/OSDs, preserving materials, and coordinating with project teams. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years’ experience, OSHA certifications, and strong MS Office/ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• 2–5 years of capital equipment material control experience preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on site experience within complex, large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience with Advanced Manufacturing projects and ERP/MMS tools (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite).

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes, policies, and supplier expectations.
• Review shipment release requests and ensure approvals align with POs and control plans.
• Advise stakeholders on creating shipment releases and authorization processes.
• Administer Material Receiving Reports (MRRs), Material Issue Requests (MIRs) and OS&Ds.
• Maintain a materials preservation register and coordinate OS&D resolutions.
• Maintain material control documentation and manage risk communications.
• Collaborate with project/department staff on material control activities.
