Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing at the Saint Francisville, LA area. You will manage field materials for major capital equipment and work under supervision to ensure task completion and proper documentation.

You will develop expertise in material control, review shipments, administer MRRs/MIRs/OS&Ds, and coordinate with project teams to mitigate risks while leveraging SAP/Oracle/NetSuite systems and MS Excel for reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control is preferred.
2+ years of hands-on site experience within complex, large-scale construction environments.
OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate. OSHA 30 preferred.
Experience in Advanced Manufacturing projects is ideal.
Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
2+ years of experience using Materials Management software and/or Enterprise Purchasing Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Smart Materials).
An expressed interest in pursuing a career in Construction Management or Procurement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on-site in Saint Francisville, LA.

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools, basic procurement principles and practices, techniques of ensuring task completion, project delivery processes, and supplier relationship expectations.
Utilize established policies, procedures, systems, and tools.
Review Shipment Release Request related supplier documentation and ensure Shipment Authorizations are approved per PO terms and Material Control Execution Plan.
Advise stakeholders how to create and initiate shipment releases and understand the shipment authorization process.
Administer MRPs, MIRs and OS&Ds.
Maintain a register of Materials requiring preservation activities.
Evaluate facts around material control problems and apply remedies.
Maintain material control documentation in a repository.
Identify and advise management of material control risks.
Coordinate OS&D resolution.
Work under close supervision; no direct reports.
Coordinate with project personnel for material control activities.
