Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing in Saint Francisville, LA. You will manage field material control activities for major capital equipment, under supervision, following established procedures.

The role supports project procurement and material control teams, with responsibilities to review shipments, manage MRRS/MIRs/OS&Ds, and maintain documentation while coordinating with project staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management required.
• 2–5 years of capital equipment material control experience preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on site experience in large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Experience with MS Office tools and advanced Excel.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Smart Materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools and apply them to project delivery.
• Review Shipment Release Requests and ensure authorizations align with PO terms and Material Control Execution Plan.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs, and OS&Ds, and maintain related documentation.
• Maintain a register of materials requiring preservation activities.
• Identify and advise management of material control risks.
