Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing in Saint Francisville, LA. You will manage material control activities for major capital equipment, guided by procedures and with close supervision.

Responsibilities include handling MRRs, MIRs, OS&Ds, shipment releases, and risk reviews, while coordinating with project teams to ensure timely deliveries and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent project experience in a related field.
• 2–5 years of capital equipment material control experience preferred.
• 2+ years on-site experience in large-scale construction.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience in Advanced Manufacturing projects is ideal.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Excel.
• Experience with Materials Management software/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Interest in pursuing Construction Management or Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Review shipment release requests and ensure approvals per PO terms.
• Advise stakeholders on shipment release creation and process.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs and OS&D reports.
• Maintain a materials preservation register.
• Identify and address material control risk areas.
• Maintain material control documentation in a repository.
• Coordinate OS&D resolution with project staff.
• Work under close supervision with no direct reports.
• Collaborate with project or department teams on material control activities.
