Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing at our Saint Francisville, LA location. You will oversee field material control transactions, manage MRRs and MIRs, and coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery and proper documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control, and on-site construction experience. OSHA certification and proficiency with MS Excel are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate (OSHA 30 preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control is preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on site experience in complex, large-scale construction environments.
• MS Office, especially Excel, skills.
• Experience using Materials Management software and/or Enterprise Purchasing Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is preferred.
• Interest in Construction Management or Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Review Shipment Release Request related supplier documentation and ensure Shipment Authorizations align with PO terms.
• Advise stakeholders on shipment releases and the authorization process.
• Administer Material Receiving Reports (MRRs), MIRs, and OS&Ds.
• Maintain a register of materials requiring preservation activities.
• Coordinate with project or departmental personnel in material control activities.
