Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing in Saint Francisville, LA. You will manage field material control transactions for major capital equipment and materials under supervision, supporting project procurement and materials teams.

The role emphasizes understanding of material control processes, supplier documentation, and shipment authorization, with on-site work in a large-scale construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control is preferred.
• 2+ years of on-site experience within complex, large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience in Advanced Manufacturing projects is ideal.
• Experience using MS Office tools with Excel proficiency.
• 2+ years using Materials Management software/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Interest in Construction Management or Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes, policies, and tools.
• Review shipment release documents and ensure authorization per PO terms and MC plan.
• Advise stakeholders on creating shipment releases and authorization processes.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs, and OS&Ds.
• Maintain a materials preservation register.
• Identify and address material control risks and issues.
• Coordinate OS&D resolution with project/department personnel.
