Job summary

Travelers in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced claims professional to investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate and settle assigned liability and auto Bodily Injury, homeowner's liability and GL claims. You will conduct coverage analyses, field inspections where needed, and provide outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of liability claim handling experience.
• Bodily injury claim experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Timely coverage analysis and communication with insured based on policy information and facts.
• Investigate claims by contacting policyholders, claimants, law enforcement, and others to determine liability and damages.
• Identify resources (Subro, Risk Control, experts) and coordinate results.
• Verify nature and extent of injury or property damage with records and documentation.
• Maintain diary system to ensure timely handling and evaluate liability and damages exposure.
• Negotiate disposition of claims within delegated authority and pursue cost-effective resolutions.
