Job summary

Travelers is seeking an experienced General Liability claims professional to investigate, evaluate, reserve, and resolve complex Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims. You will apply policy language, coordinate with insureds, claimants and experts to determine liability, damages and coverage, and ensure timely, high-quality handling.

You will leverage resources such as subrogation and nurse/ fire or fraud investigators as needed and manage litigation plans with counsel to achieve fair

Qualifications

• Two years bodily injury liability claim handling experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Strong negotiation and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly handles assigned severe claims.
• Communicates with insureds, claimants, and experts to determine liability and damages.
• Investigates claims with appropriate parties and documents findings.
• Coordinates resources such as subrogation and expert consultants.
• Establishes and maintains reserves and diary entries for timely handling.
• Negotiates disposition of claims and manages litigation as needed.
