Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking an IT professional to support and administer complex information systems across multiple disciplines. The role includes monitoring infrastructures, troubleshooting issues, and deploying new technologies in a collaborative environment.

You'll work on upgrades, backups, testing, and documentation while engaging with users and teams to improve processes and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4-6 years of experience in information technology, systems administration or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft 365 products.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex system problems.
• Ability to plan and coordinate deployment of new technology.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support IT infrastructures and systems.
• Conduct moderately complex analysis including planning, designing and evaluating IT tools.
• Serve as backup to respond to user requests for system needs and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems with minimal supervision.
• Administer and maintain operating systems and related software.
• Schedule, perform and monitor system backups and data recoveries.
• Perform root cause analysis, diagnostics and monitoring on production systems.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiencies.
• Create and maintain systems documentation and user guides.
• Plan and design new platforms and evaluate new technologies.
• Conduct cost analysis of new platforms and technologies.
• Create recovery plans to reduce downtime.
• Review problem management actions and initiate improvements.
• Apply scripting to automate related tasks.
