Job summary

Infinity Natural Resources is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist - Field to keep field personnel connected and productive in remote locations and in the office. You will handle laptops, mobile devices, and connectivity, providing first- and second-line support for both field and corporate teams.

Based in the Quaker City area with hybrid eligibility, this role requires up to 50% travel to remote field offices and field sites.

Qualifications

2 years of technical education or certification in Information Technology or a related field.
4 years of relevant IT support experience accepted in lieu of education.
2 years of experience in a help desk, IT support, or desktop technician role preferred.
Foundational knowledge of Windows operating systems and standard desktop applications.
Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple requests simultaneously.
Customer service orientation with a professional, courteous demeanor.
Willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
Familiarity with ticketing systems, asset tracking tools, and remote support software preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary IT support resource for field personnel, ensuring reliable access to critical business and operational technologies that enable safe, efficient, and uninterrupted oil and gas operations.
Respond to help desk tickets and support requests in a timely and professional manner.
Set up and configure new user hardware, software, accounts, and access in accordance with company procedures.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
Provide first-level support for Microsoft Office products, email systems, and VPN connections.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks including imaging workstations, disabling accounts, and collecting equipment.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure documentation is up to date.
Escalate complex technical issues to senior team members and assist in resolution as needed.
Support basic network troubleshooting tasks such as port resets, printer sharing, and connection diagnostics.
Deliver professional and courteous customer service to internal users in person, via phone, or virtually.
