Job summary

AMSYS Innovative Solutions LLC is seeking an IT Services Field Engineer to provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, mobiles, printers, and network gear in Houston, TX. You will provision and deploy devices, document configurations, and follow established procedures while escalating complex issues to senior engineers.

You will work with Service Desk, Project Management, and Engineering teams to deliver client projects, maintain security/compliance, and participate in ongoing

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of IT support or Help Desk experience.
• Basic hardware, OS, and networking knowledge.
• Experience with Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Experience setting up desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and mobile devices.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
• Assist Help Desk with incident resolution and service requests.
• Provision, configure, deploy, and document user devices.
• Install, label, and organize equipment in network racks following procedures.
• Perform basic switch deployments using approved templates.
• Assist with network equipment installations, cable management, and connectivity verification.
• Document completed work, asset information, and configuration details in ticketing systems.
• Escalate complex networking, server, security, or infrastructure issues to senior engineers.
• Follow security, compliance, and change management procedures.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Project Management, and Engineering teams on client projects.
