The position emphasizes field work at customer sites, strong networking fundamentals, and a willingness to learn across access control, IP cameras, VoIP, and AV systems. Part-time hours may grow with service demand.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on IT support or infrastructure experience at customer locations.
• Practical networking knowledge: IP addressing, subnets, gateways, DHCP, VLANs, switches, Wi-Fi.
• Strong Windows troubleshooting skills and familiarity with Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Active Directory/Entra user and access concepts.
• Comfortable working independently at customer sites and documenting work clearly.
• Reliable driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.
• Willingness to travel locally within Texas and work on ladders when needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot network and Wi‑Fi connectivity, switches, access points, cabling, VLANs, workstations, printers, VoIP, UPS, and rack power.
• Perform first-level repairs: device swaps, patching, cable tracing, reboots, firmware updates, configuration restores.
• Assist with access-control systems, IP cameras/NVRs, paging, and AV equipment with training.
• Collaborate with remote L2/L3 engineers on complex issues in networking, firewall, VoIP, identity, and config.
• Serve as the remote team’s eyes and hands at customer locations and document work with photos and IDs.
• Close tickets with customer sign-off and escalate when scope or labor exceeds plan.
• Support internal office IT and assist project teams with installation of network gear when volume allows.
