Job summary

Westat is seeking motivated Field Interviewers for the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS). You will conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households, travel for training, and transmit data daily using Westat equipment.

The position is part-time with two data collection periods each year, requiring travel to local and sometimes long-distance households. Training occurs in January 2027, with ongoing duties including strict data security and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older with ability to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Available to complete mandatory web-based and in-person trainings in January 2027.
• Willing to travel for mandatory training and interviews.
• Able to participate in additional web-based and virtual trainings after in-person onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households, set interviews, and complete interviews using Westat-provided equipment.
• Transmit data daily and complete administrative paperwork.
• Travel to MEPS training and, as needed, to local or long-distance households.
• Meet data security and confidentiality requirements.
