Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking motivated Field Interviewers to support the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS). Interviewers conduct in-person and video-assisted interviews with adults, travel to training in January 2027, and may travel to local or longer-distance households.

This part-time role runs in two annual data collection periods, with breaks between rounds and daily data transmission. Applicants must be 18+, complete mandatory training, and have access to a reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements include ability to travel within project areas, work 20 hours per week when available, and meet physical requirements.
• Preferred criteria include interviewing experience and comfort working in unfamiliar locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households.
• Contact households, set appointments, and collect interview data and signed documents.
• Transmit data daily and adhere to data security and confidentiality requirements.
• Work a part-time, variable-hour schedule with data collection periods and breaks between rounds.
