Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers for the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS). You will conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults, travel for trainings, and collect signed documents. The role is part-time, with two annual data collection periods and variable hours based on caseload.

Training in January 2027 is mandatory, with potential local and overnight travel. You will report to a field supervisor and transmit data daily, adhering to security and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to enter confidentiality agreements.
• Complete mandatory web-based home study training including Teams sessions.
• Travel to mandatory in-person training in January 2027 and to interviews across assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Contact households in-person or by phone to introduce MEPS and gain cooperation.
• Arrange appointments, conduct interviews, and collect signed documents (electronic and hard copy).
• Transmit electronic data daily when working and comply with data security requirements.
