Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers for the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) to conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households across the United States. Duties include setting appointments, completing interviews, and collecting signed documents.

Travel to MEPS in-person training in January 2027 is mandatory, with potential overnight travel for some assignments. This is a part-time, variable-hour position with two data collection periods throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Experience with in-person interviewing or computer-assisted interviewing is preferred.
• Ability to meet physical requirements (lifting, walking, stairs).
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults.
• Schedule and conduct interviews, collect data, and transmit data daily.
• Travel to training and field locations as required, including possible overnight travel.
