Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers for the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) in the United States. You will conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with household members using a Westat laptop, contact households, set appointments, and collect and follow up with signed documents.

Training in January 2027 is mandatory, including in-person sessions and web-based components. This is a part-time, year-round role with travel to local and sometimes long-distance households,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older and able to enter confidentiality agreements.
• Complete mandatory web-based home study training between January 4 and January 15, 2027.
• Attend mandatory in-person training January 19–25, 2027.
• Complete post-training home study between January 26 and January 31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person interviews with adults in households (also computer-assisted video interviews).
• Contact households, set appointments, complete interviews, and collect signatures electronically and on paper.
• Transmit data daily and comply with data security and confidentiality requirements.
