NextLink in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Field Installation Technician to perform on-site installations, service visits, and troubleshooting for residential and business customers.

You will install equipment, configure routers, perform upgrades, and ensure safe operation while meeting operational schedules.

Excellent customer service and technical skills are required, with driving responsibilities and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug screening test and a criminal background check.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to install equipment and configure customer gear at on-site locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys to evaluate serviceability for potential customers.
• Diagnose problems during service calls and restore functional Internet service.
• Install Internet service for new customers, including mounting equipment and running Cat5e or fiber.
• Configure routers and customer computers for Internet access.
• Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers.
