Job summary

Nextlink is seeking a Field Installation Technician to perform on-site installations, service visits and troubleshooting for residential and business customers. You will install Internet service, configure equipment, and ensure operational connectivity at customer locations, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include conducting site surveys, diagnosing issues during service calls, and upgrading customer equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Professional in dress, speech, and manner.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgement.
• Ability to set priorities, organize workload and meet deadlines.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, high-change environment with interruptions.
• Desire to learn and passion for technology.
• Must pass drug screen, background check, and hold a valid DL with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys for potential customers to evaluate serviceability.
• Diagnose problems at service calls and restore service.
• Install Internet service at customer locations including rooftop or external cabling.
• Configure routers and customer computers for Internet access.
• Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
