Job summary

NextLink is seeking a Field Installation Technician to perform on-site installs, service calls, and equipment recoveries at customer locations. You will mount equipment, run cabling, and configure routers for home and business Internet service while maintaining high-quality customer interactions.

The role requires physical ability to lift heavy items, outdoor work in various conditions, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. A drug screen and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to perform site surveys and assess serviceability.
• Able to operate safely in outdoor environments and manage ladders/roof access.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and willingness to undergo background checks.
• Willingness to pass drug screening and BMI safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys for potential customers to evaluate serviceability.
• Diagnose customer problems at service calls and restore functional service.
• Install Internet service at customer locations and mount equipment.
• Configure routers and customer devices for Internet access.
• Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
