Nextlink Internet is seeking a Field Installation Technician to perform on-site customer installations, service visits, and troubleshooting. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently at residential and business locations.

Responsibilities include surveying sites, diagnosing problems, installing service with Cat5e or fiber, configuring routers, and upgrading equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be professional in dress, speech, and manner.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment and prioritization.
• Willingness to pass drug screening and background checks; valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations and service visits at customer locations.
• Diagnose issues and restore internet service during service calls.
• Install new customers using available technology (copper/fiber); lay out cables as needed.
• Configure routers and customer equipment for access to Internet services.
• Upgrade equipment for existing customers and perform related duties as assigned.
