Job summary

Nextlink is seeking a Field Installation Technician to perform on-site installations, service visits, and equipment updates for residential and business customers. The role requires performing site surveys, configuring routers and devices, and troubleshooting to restore high‑quality internet service.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to work outdoors in varying weather, and pass a drug screen and background check.

• Requires strong customer service and technical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys to evaluate serviceability and install internet equipment.
• Diagnose issues at service calls and restore service for customers.
• Install and configure routers and customer devices for internet access.
• Upgrade equipment for existing customers and perform on-site troubleshooting.
• Maintain and update databases as needed.
