Job summary

NextLink is seeking a Field Installation Technician to perform on-site customer installations, service visits and on-site troubleshooting, including updating databases. You will install Internet equipment, mount hardware, and configure routers at customer locations, often at roof height.

The role requires professional appearance, independent work, safety awareness, and the ability to meet deadlines. Some travel (0–40%) and background/drug checks are required, with a flexible 40-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass drug screening and background check.
• Ability to install and configure Internet equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys for potential customers to evaluate serviceability.
• Diagnose customer problems and restore service.
• Install new customers with Internet service and mount equipment.
• Configure routers and customer computers.
• Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers.
• Work on-site at customer locations and update databases.
