Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. seeks a skilled Hydraulic Shovel Technician to join our field maintenance team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic shovels, drills, and excavators to keep mining operations productive and safe.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on experience with large hydraulic equipment, strong knowledge of fluid power, and the ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work flexible shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/technical training in heavy equipment mechanics or industrial hydraulics preferred.
• 3–5 years in maintenance of large hydraulic mining/construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: perform in-depth diagnostics on hydraulic and electrical systems, identify leaks or faults.
• Hydraulic Component Maintenance: dismantle, repair, and replace pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and hoses to spec.
• Preventative Care: conduct inspections, lubrication, wear analysis to prevent breakdowns.
• Technical Documentation Interpretation: read hydraulic schematics, manuals, and diagrams.
• Safety and Compliance Enforcement: follow LOTO, OSHA, MSHA safety rules.
• Maintenance Record Management: keep precise records of repairs and parts.
• Collaborative Teamwork: work with supervisors, engineers, and peers to solve issues.
• Emergency Response: quickly address breakdowns to minimize downtime.
