Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Hydraulic Shovel Technician for our field maintenance team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems on heavy equipment to keep mining operations productive and safe.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, component maintenance, preventative care, and accurate record-keeping, with a focus on safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/technical training in heavy equipment mechanics preferred.
• 3–5 years of maintenance/repair on large hydraulic mining or construction equipment (Cat, Komatsu, Bucyrus).
• Strong knowledge of fluid power, hydraulics, diesel engines and electrical components.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams.

Responsabilités

• Perform in-depth diagnostics on hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Disassemble, repair and replace hydraulic components per specs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and lubrication routines.
• Interpret schematics and manuals to guide tasks safely and effectively.
• Ensure safety compliance (LOTO, OSHA/MSHA).
• Maintain maintenance records and parts history.
• Collaborate with supervisors and technicians to solve issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns during shifts to minimize downtime.
