Job summary

Trane Technologies, a world leader in climate solutions, seeks an on-site HVAC/Controls technician to start up and commission systems, diagnose and repair environmental-control setups at customer sites.

You will serve as the primary customer contact, ensuring satisfaction while coordinating with the team on installation, safety, and on-site material needs. EPA preferred and DDC experience valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, with 3–5 years of HVAC/Controls experience.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and working with handheld devices.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with a clean record.
• Previous experience with DDC controls system preferred.
• EPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Starting and commissioning new systems, diagnosing and repairing environmental-control systems using electronics, direct digital control, airflow, refrigeration theory, and related techniques.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and service products and equipment on assigned projects to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize work.
• Keep current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
• Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of assets.
• Display teamwork and flexibility to work overtime and overnight stays when required.
