Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based HVAC technician to install, commission, program, and service controls on customer sites. You will be responsible for end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and documenting verification to ensure project success.

The role requires strong safety practices, ability to work overtime or overnight as needed, and coordination with customers and team leaders to understand site requirements. Proficiency with MS Office and handheld devices is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Typically at least 7 years of HVAC/Controls experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Commission, program, set up graphics, communications link, end-to-end testing, troubleshooting and service on assigned projects.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation and job close-out requirements.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and service products/equipment on site to ensure satisfaction; diagnose and repair on-site.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs; assess building layouts and materials.
