Job summary

Trane Technologies in the United States seeks a Field HVAC/Controls Technician to start and commission new systems, diagnose and repair environmental-control systems at customer sites. You will apply knowledge of electronics, DDC, airflow and refrigeration theory to ensure reliable operation.

This highly physical, on-site role requires a high school diploma, 3–5 years in Commercial HVAC/Controls, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; typically 3–5 years in Commercial HVAC/Controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices (smartphone/iPad).
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with clean record.
• Previous experience with DDC controls systems preferred; EPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Start and commission new HVAC/Controls systems; diagnose and repair environmental-control equipment.
• Serve as the direct customer contact; install, service and repair equipment on site; ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand on-site requirements and time/material needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Trane products; uphold safety and asset accountability; may require OT and overnight stays.
