Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking field-based technicians to commission, program and test HVAC control systems at customer sites. You will handle end-to-end testing, diagnostics and service delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3–5 years in HVAC/Controls, strong MS Office skills, and a valid driver’s license. Safety and readiness for field conditions are essential for success and growth within a global leader in sustainable climate solutions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; typically 3–5 years HVAC/Controls experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using handheld devices (smartphone, tablet).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with clean record; no major violations in last 3 years.
• DDC controls system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Commission, program, and set up graphics, communications link, end-to-end testing and troubleshooting on assigned projects.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation, and job closeout requirements.
• Represent the company as the direct customer contact, service equipment onsite and ensure customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize work.
