Job summary

Trane Technologies, a global leader in building, HVAC and transportation climate solutions, seeks a field technician to start and commission new systems, diagnose and repair environmental-control systems at customer sites. This role blends HVAC and controls knowledge with hands-on service.

You will coordinate with project teams, ensure safety, and be prepared to work overtime and occasional overnight stays as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years HVAC/Controls experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; handheld device use.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months; clean driving record.
• Experience with DDC controls; EPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Start and commission new systems; diagnose and repair environmental-control systems.
• Serve as direct customer contact; service products and equipment on projects.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand on-site requirements.
• Keep up-to-date on installation, operation, maintenance and repair of direct digital control systems.
• Enforce safety standards; manage assets and documentation.
• Work overtime and occasional overnight stays as required.
