Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field HVAC technician responsible for commissioning, diagnosing, repairing, and starting up commercial HVAC systems at customer sites. You will apply air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts to ensure reliable operation.

This role requires on-site collaboration with customers and internal teams, offers day-one benefits and a path for growth, and may involve overtime and occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 0–2 years in HVAC.
• Valid driver’s license for 12+ months with clean record.
• MS Office proficiency; handheld device experience (smartphone/iPad).
• EPA Certification preferred (HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand on-site installation and repairs; forecast issues and plan materials.
• Diagnose and repair equipment and systems on customer sites using blueprints/engineering specs.
• Be flexible to overtime/weekends and maintain safety and asset security.
