Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Assembler to join our National Field Service team. You will travel across the United States to assemble heavy mining equipment on customer sites, often six weeks on the road at a time, with significant overtime and hands-on welding.

Ideal candidates have hands-on mechanical experience in mining or heavy industry, welding skills (AWS D1.1 preferred), and the ability to work long shifts in challenging environments. We offer training and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be on the road 6 weeks at a time, with 13–14 hour days.
• AWS D1.1 certification with FCAW test completed.
• MSHA training certification preferred for safety compliance.
• Rigging training completed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble heavy mining equipment on-site at customer locations.
• Perform welding and mechanical assembly in field environments.
• Travel throughout the U.S. to provide on-site support.
• Operate and maintain safety and regulatory standards.
