Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Assembler to join our National Field Service team. You will travel across the United States, assembling heavy mining equipment on-site, including rope shovels and electric drive trucks, with extensive overtime opportunities.

The role requires hands-on mechanical work, welding as a core skill, and the ability to work 13–14 hour days while on the road. AWS D1.1 certification with FCAW welding test is required, MSHA training preferred.

Qualifications

• AWS D1.1 certification with FCAW welding test completed.
• MSHA training preferred for safety compliance in mining environments.
• Rigging training completed to perform lifting safely.
• Willingness to travel up to 6 weeks on the road with long shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Field mechanical maintenance on mining equipment.
• Field welding and assembly at customer sites.
• Travel across the United States for on-site support and repairs.
• Operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in field environments.
• Field machining using specialized tools per project requirements.
