Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline in the United States is seeking a Health Informatics Manager to support Market Access initiatives by aligning HIT resources with customer needs, clinical workflows, and technology environments including EHRs.

This field-based role covers TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, NM, CO, UT and involves educating customers, guiding HIT implementations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams while upholding compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Minimum 2 years of health informatics or EHR-related roles in a hospital, physician practice, or patient-care environment.
• Experience with major EHR platforms such as Athenahealth, Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, Meditech, OncoEMR, or iKnowMed.
• Customer-facing experience assessing needs and collaborating across teams with hands-on knowledge of EHR products and governance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with health-system stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align HIT resources with customer needs and technology environments.
• Assess customer workflows, EHR readiness, data insights, and barriers to identify opportunities that improve patient identification, care delivery, coordination and efficiency.
• Educate customers on approved EHR-enabled, digital, patient identification, and measurement resources and support evaluation for potential use.
• Contribute HIT expertise to account planning and customer engagement, sharing insights, risks, opportunities and HIT trends with internal partners.
• Serve as a HIT subject matter resource across Market Access and other GSK business units, coordinating customer support and providing field input on scalable tools and resources.
• Ensure customer ownership of clinical, technical, implementation, validation, privacy, security, and governance decisions while complying with GSK policies and Legal/Compliance.
